Welcome to my website
I am a professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature at National Sun Yat-sen University.
My specialties include phonetics, theoretical and laboratory phonology, and psycholinguistics. I am particularly interested in issues related to prosodic features of speech, including stress, intonation, and lexical tone. Most of my recent research concerns the roles of these features in cognitive processes such as spoken word recognition. Currently, I am working on a project investigating the use of various prosodic information like f0 and duration in speech segmentation.
